Learn more about work planning, hazardous substances and risks of the future with Basi
Do we work more relaxed and effectively if we plan more intensively and precisely? How do we deal safely with carcinogenic hazardous substances? And: What risks to our health can we generally expect in the workplace in the future? Answers to these and other topical questions can be found at the upcoming events of Basi, the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, with its guests – online, on site or hybrid. From October 2022, the “Call for Participation” will also be looking for exciting topics for the A+A Congress 2023.
Occupational health and safety basically means constant change: today, healthy and safe working often means managing stress and mental strain well – while accidents in the manufacturing industry continue to decline. “This time, Basi is taking these current developments into account in its events. Together with our members, we are not only looking at new trends at the A+A Congress. Together with experts and all Basi members, we will find answers to pressing prevention issues,” says Dr. Christian Felten, Managing Director of the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, Basi.
Events on current topics build a bridge to the A+A Congress 2023
From fall 2022, the Basi team will be hosting a series of events that build a bridge to the upcoming A+A Congress 2023. On September 20, 2022, participants in the next edition of the successful online format “Basi in Dialogue” will address the question “More relaxed and effective work thanks to systematic planning – can it work?” The partner is Basi member MTM ASSOCIATION e.V., and Dr. Christian Felten’s discussion partner will be Dr. Thomas Finsterbusch, Head of the MTM Academy.
October will then be marked by the A+A Congress 2023, which this time will focus strategically on sustainability in safety and health at work: “We would be delighted if you would once again get involved with your good ideas and suggestions in our ‘Call for Participation’ (CfP) for the A+A Congress,” emphasizes Dr. Christian Felten. Separate calls with corresponding topic categories and opportunities will follow shortly.
Cooperation between social insurance institutions or: “Who actually controls what in prevention?
The coalition agreement explicitly refers to the strengthening of cooperation between social insurance institutions to improve safety and health at work. In small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), this mainly involves statutory accident insurance and health insurance. On October 19, 2022, there will be an exciting face-to-face event in Stuttgart entitled “Who actually controls what in prevention?” The possibilities of cooperation between the various social insurance providers in the workplace will be discussed when it comes to occupational health and safety and workplace health promotion. The success factors of a joint preventive approach from the various areas will be highlighted. The event is aimed at all company and inter-company advisors for occupational safety and health, workplace health promotion and workplace health management and is organized together with Basi member IKK classic and competent speakers at “Arbeitsschutz Aktuell” 2022 in Stuttgart . Together with Messe Düsseldorf, Basi is hosting the “A+A connected” event on November 16, 2022. Among other things, it will focus on the hazardous substance check of the Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy (GDA).
The A+A year 2023 will begin with a joint event with the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV): On January 17, 2023, Prof. Dr. Dietmar Reinert, Director of the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA) and responsible for the DGUV’s Risk Observatory, will be among those taking part. He will explain current results from his research work and possible consequences for the future of occupational safety and health.
Further information on the individual events and the Call for Participation will follow shortly on the Basi homepage.
