Irritability and pressure on the rise: Results of the DGUV Working Environment Barometer

Time pressure and a tense working atmosphere are the most prominent developments that many employees have experienced in the last two years, according to the German Social Accident Insurance’s (DGUV) Working Environment Barometer. The survey of over 2,000 employees, conducted by forsa Gesellschaft für Sozialforschung und statistische Analysen on behalf of the DGUV, shows the increasing importance of factors such as work intensification, staff shortages and mental stress for safety and health in the workplace.

Against this backdrop, DGUV Director General Dr. Stefan Hussy is calling on companies to pay more attention to the prevention of mental stress.
