The German Hazardous Substance Protection Award (GSP) recognizes exemplary and pioneering activities for protection against hazardous substances in the workplace. It is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and organized by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). Under the motto “Safe. Better. Work”, this year’s prize focuses on “Innovations and examples for working with carcinogenic hazardous substances”. Individuals, groups of people, companies and organizations that are particularly committed in this area can apply until 30 April 2024. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros and will be awarded on September 26, 2024 as part of the Occupational Safety and Health Forum in Stuttgart.
