DGUV: Working safely in multicultural teams – instructions required

Migration is one way of countering the shortage of skilled workers in the German labor market. The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) points out that language barriers and cultural differences must increasingly be taken into account in prevention concepts. To find out how high the need for prevention is in the context of migration, the Institute for Work and Health of the DGUV (IAG) launched a survey among supervisors. Around 75 percent of them believe that migration is an important topic for prevention. They see language barriers and a lack of qualifications as the greatest challenges.
Further information on the survey can be found on the DGUV website.
