Basi Mitglieder aktuell: DIN – how standards support crisis management

The members are the heart of Basi, the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work. We introduce them and their current topics. First up is DIN, short for the German Institute for Standardization. Dr. Bärbel Wernicke, head of the “Life and Environment” department at DIN, explains DIN e.V. and the German standardization strategy in a presentation. She will explain how norms and standards support crisis management, which is necessary in many respects in these times – for example, to meet the challenges posed by flood disasters or the ongoing pandemic.
