30 years of KAN: Commitment to occupational health and safety and standardization

Since it was founded 30 years ago, the Commission for Occupational Health and Safety and Standardization (KAN) has dealt with a wide range of topics. In the beginning, it was mainly concerned with product safety standards; today, KAN deals with standardization policy developments, among other things: from artificial intelligence to climate change and the circular economy to the revision of the EU Standardization Regulation. The KANBrief now reports in detail on the symposium that KAN hosted in Berlin to mark its 30th anniversary. Other articles in this issue include a KAN position on the Common Specifications instrument, the ISO 1999 acoustics standard and the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases in Italy. Further information can be found on the KAN website.
