Training: Preventing sexual assault in the workplace

Employees must be protected from sexual harassment in the workplace. To do this, managers need a clear stance – and the necessary knowledge on how to react correctly in the event of assault. Training is the best way to learn more about this. This is also shown by the experience of the Lower Saxony Central Police Directorate (ZPD). Following an incident of sexual assault in the workforce, the authority focused on training to prevent such acts in the future. Karsten Wolff, head of the ZPD Lower Saxony press office, explains in top eins magazine how the police department is now better at prevention.
