Basi receives prestigious ORPHEUS Award from the ORP Foundation

The International Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (ORP) has awarded Basi (Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work) a prestigious prize. Dr. Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, accepted the award on behalf of the Basi team in Barcelona from Pedro P. Mondelo, Director of ORP and Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, President of ORP and Secretary General of the International Social Security Association (ISSA).

The occasion was the “Lean Barcelona 2024” event, at which Dr Christian Felten gave a presentation on the aspects of digitalization in prevention. A key message: digital tools can significantly improve health and safety in the workplace. At ORPHEUS Night 2024, a major event in the field of occupational health and safety that brought together over 228 leading figures in Barcelona, the importance of occupational health and safety was discussed in an inspiring atmosphere. This was seen as an essential factor for the well-being of employees and the sustainable success of companies and organizations. The focal point of the evening was the presentation of the ORPHEUS Awards, which recognize organizations that have implemented effective initiatives to improve risk prevention and occupational safety.

Basi was recognized for opening up a broad space for occupational health and safety in Germany and effectively incorporating international initiatives into its congress and beyond. “We will continue to expand this cooperation with the help of the ORP Foundation – the award is further motivation for Basi on this path,” explains Basi Managing Director Dr. Christian Felten.

The ORP Foundation is an international, independent non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the workplace and promoting innovation. Through studies, seminars, congresses and training programs, the foundation promotes productivity and competitiveness in various sectors of the economy. Basi works closely with the ORP Foundation.
