Tips for back-friendly cycling
If you get on your bike or e-bike for a tour, you don’t want to find your back and joints aching after just a short time. That’s why Basi member Aktion Gesunder Rücken (AGR) provides tips and tricks on bike settings and accessories to prevent unnecessary pain. Regular cycling not only strengthens the leg muscles, it also benefits the back muscles. Deep muscles in particular, which attach directly to the spine and provide stability, are trained. However, the prerequisite for this is to find the right bike setting. But there is no one-size-fits-all recipe for the optimum setting. So what can you do to sit perfectly on your bike? In addition to the type of bike, individual wishes and requirements should be taken into account. For example, Dutch cyclists have different requirements to racing cyclists. Further information on this can be found on the AGR website.
