38th A+A Congress 2023
The 38th International A+A Congress, organized by the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work (Basi), set an example for sustainability in occupational safety in 2023. Other current topics discussed by the 3,000 or so congress visitors included artificial intelligence and its potential applications as well as the consequences of climate change. The A+A Congress took place together with the WearRAcon Europe congress for exoskeleton technology and the GfA (Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft) autumn conference in Düsseldorf from October 24 to 27, 2023.
Artificial intelligence and its potential applications, the consequences of climate change and sustainable strategies in occupational safety and health: these and many other current topics, developments and trends will shape the 38th International A+A Congress 2023, which will take place in Düsseldorf from October 24 to 27, 2023 – together with the International A+A Trade Fair, the WearRAcon Europe Congress for Exoskeleton Technology and the GfA (German Society for Occupational Science) Autumn Conference. The organizer is Basi, the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work.
Under the motto “People matter”, numerous exhibiting companies will be presenting innovative solutions and concepts for safe and healthy working at A+A 2023. Tickets for the leading international trade fair, which takes place from 24.10. to 27.10.2023 in Düsseldorf, are now available online. The organizers have changed the hall concept and optimized the routing on the exhibition grounds.
As part of the successful A+A Expert Talks webinar series, Basi organized an event on the topic of hazardous substances: four experts answered questions from around 500 listeners. Sustainable management is inextricably linked to social sustainability and good working conditions – as Dr. Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, emphasizes in the current DEKRA Occupational Safety Report 2023. The interview with him deals with trends in occupational safety.
The 38th International A+A Congress 2023 is taking shape: Sustainable strategies for safety and health at work have been identified as a key topic for the congress, which will take place alongside the A+A trade fair in Düsseldorf from October 24 to 27, 2023. Basi, the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, has conducted a survey of experts on this topic.
Dr Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, gave an interview on the work of Basi, the A+A Congress 2023 and occupational safety and health in general for the latest KAN Newsletter from the Commission for Safety and Standardization. With the “Call for Participation” (CfP), the Basi has called for ideas for sustainable safety and health at work to be submitted for the upcoming A+A Congress. In his welcoming address, Federal Minister of Labor Hubert Heil emphasizes: “Sustainability is a focus of the A+A Congress 2023. Sustainable management not only includes environmentally friendly production processes, but also social sustainability and good working conditions. Safety and health in the workplace are essential for this.”
