Factors for healthy virtual teamwork compiled
The topic of “virtual teamwork” continues to occupy many companies, even as the pandemic is coming to an end. The Health and Work Initiative (iga) has compiled content and current study results in an online seminar. These are now available in factor sheets.
“Virtual teamwork” refers to collaboration in which part of the team works from a shared work location and part works from home, for example (“hybrid form” of collaboration).
The seven factors that influence the success of hybrid teamwork are: Communication, team trust, leadership, time and self-management, virtual media skills, organization of work and spatial and technical workplace design. For each of the factors, the current state of research as well as challenges, solutions and suggestions for practice are considered.
