When electricians are seriously injured during the installation of photovoltaic systems on roofs, it is almost always due to falls from a height. A new agreement is now in place to prevent this. It was created to maximize safety during the installation of photovoltaic systems and to protect roofing companies in particular from electrical hazards. The Central Association of the German Electrical and IT Trades (ZVEH) and the Central Association of the German Roofing Trade (ZVDH) together with the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the energy, textile, electrical and media products industries (BG ETEM) and the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the construction industry (BG BAU) have signed the agreement.
