The right to a safe and healthy working environment for all is the focus of World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28. In 2024, the focus will be on the impact of climate change on safety and health at work. The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work EU-OSHA is committed to examining the impact of climate change and adaptation measures, as well as providing practical guidance on how to deal with occupational risks.
The health and social care sector has traditionally been a pioneer in terms of datafication and digitalization. Ongoing technological and societal change is not only impacting workers in the sector, but also the affordability and quality of health and care provision. Working healthily and safely in times of digitalization – how can it work in practice? Answers to this question can be found in the course of the new campaign of the European occupational safety and health organization EU-OSHA, which is supported by the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, Basi, as a media partner. It runs until 2025, and one of the aims in Germany is to provide companies with a wide range of design options that they can use within a massive change process.
European occupational health and safety stakeholders from research, politics and practice have now come together to celebrate the conclusion of the EU-OSHA campaign “Healthy Workplaces – Take the Pressure Off!”. The campaign for the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) was implemented in 30 European countries by the Focal Points (FoPs). The focus of the 2023/25 campaign is “Safe and healthy working in times of digitalization”.
