Workplace health promotion

The results of the pilot project “Healthy working in Thuringia”, which have now been published in a final report by Basi member the German Society for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (DGAUM), show how workplace health promotion can also work in smaller companies. Many small and medium-sized companies still have some catching up to do when it comes to workplace prevention and health promotion, which is also due to a lack of resources.

For RKW, workplace health promotion is part of employer attractiveness and an important contribution to work organization, which must be productive and humane. The abbreviation RKW stands for the former “Reichskuratorium für Wirtschaftlichkeit in Industrie und Handwerk” – today’s RKW Competence Center is a source of inspiration and advice for German SMEs. One of its partners is the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work (Basi). Basi Managing Director Dr. Christian Felten congratulates RKW on its 100th anniversary – and looks forward to further cooperation.
