The right to a safe and healthy working environment for all is the focus of World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28. In 2024, the focus will be on the impact of climate change on safety and health at work. The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work EU-OSHA is committed to examining the impact of climate change and adaptation measures, as well as providing practical guidance on how to deal with occupational risks.

In the current issue 10/2023 of the DGUV Forum, Basi Managing Director Dr. Christian Felten gives an interview with an outlook on the three focal points of the 38th International A+A Congress 2023: Climate change, sustainability and digitalization.

As a hybrid event, the Prevention Forum 2022 dealt with the topic of “Climate change and health”. The focus was on health risks associated with climate change as well as activities for prevention, health, safety and participation promotion. Basi, the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, also took part: in his workshop “Adults in the employment phase”, Basi Managing Director Dr. Christian Felten discussed with participants what should be done in a company to keep employees healthy and protect them from the effects of climate change, especially heat.
