Safe and healthy working environment

During the 110th International Labour Conference of the ILO (International Labour Organization), the delegates decided to elevate the principle of a safe and healthy working environment to the status of a fundamental principle and right at work. This makes healthy work an integral part of the so-called ILO core labor standards, also known as the ILO core conventions. These standards were adopted in 1998 as part of the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
