The 38th International A+A Congress, organized by the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work (Basi), set an example for sustainability in occupational safety in 2023. Other current topics discussed by the 3,000 or so congress visitors included artificial intelligence and its potential applications as well as the consequences of climate change. The A+A Congress took place together with the WearRAcon Europe congress for exoskeleton technology and the GfA (Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft) autumn conference in Düsseldorf from October 24 to 27, 2023.
Working healthily and safely in times of digitalization – how can it work in practice? Answers to this question can be found in the course of the new campaign of the European occupational safety and health organization EU-OSHA, which is supported by the Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work, Basi, as a media partner. It runs until 2025, and one of the aims in Germany is to provide companies with a wide range of design options that they can use within a massive change process.
In 2024, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will award the German Hazardous Substance Protection Prize of 10,000 euros for the fifteenth time. Under the motto “Safe. Better. Work”, the focus this year is once again on protection against carcinogenic hazardous substances. The German Hazardous Substance Protection Award (GSP) has been honoring exemplary and pioneering activities for 30 years. Applications can now be submitted.
