According to European politicians, AI can bring many benefits, such as better healthcare, safer and cleaner transport, more efficient manufacturing and a cheaper and more sustainable energy supply. AI is also playing an increasing role in occupational health and safety.  <\/p>\n<p>The Commission proposed the first EU legal framework for AI. It recommends that AI systems, which can be used in various applications, be analyzed and classified according to the risk they pose to users. The greater the risk posed by the respective application, the stricter the rules could be. There should also be complete bans, for example on real-time facial recognition in public spaces.   <\/p>\n<p>Members of the EU Parliament have now set out their position in Strasbourg for negotiations with EU countries on the final form of the &#8220;Artificial Intelligence Act&#8221; (AI Act).
